Frank Frazetta's Tomorrow Midnight Blows Away Estimate at Heritage

Frank Frazetta’s masterpiece of science fiction art, Tomorrow Midnight, 1966 – famously featured on the front of Ballantine’s 1966 book collection of EC’s evocative and important adaptations of Ray Bradbury’s classic short stories – is the centerpiece of The Jerry Weist Collection of Science Fiction & Fantasy Art and Books, presented today at Heritage Auctions Beverly Hills. It was estimated to sell for $40,000 to $60,000, but the hammer didn't fall until $83,650!

Frank Frazetta passed away last year at the age of 82. He was a highly acclaimed fantasy and science fiction artist, best known for his work for comics, book covers, paintings, movie posters, and LP record album covers.
