Today marks the birthday of Walt Disney (1901-1966), animation pioneer and founder of Disney Studios and Theme Parks. Our Collector's Treasure of the Day is this limited edition book, Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse in Color signed by Carl Barks (1901 - 2000) and Floyd Gottfredson (1905 - 1986). Barks was an American Disney Studio illustrator and comic book creator who invented Duckburg and many of its inhabitants, such as Scrooge McDuck, the Beagle Boys, and Gyro Gearloose. Gottfredson was an American cartoonist best known for his defining work on the Mickey Mouse comic strip. Prescott, AZ: Another Rainbow Publishing, [1988].
