Collector's Treasure of the Day - Remembering Jean-Paul Sartre

Five Plays Limited Edition Book Signed by Jean-Paul Sartre
Today marks the birthday of French playwright, philosopher, and Father of Existentialism, Jean-Paul Sartre (1905-1980). He refused his 1964 Nobel Prize in Literature as well as other official honors, explaining that "a writer should not allow himself to be turned into an institution". Our Collector's Treasure of the Day is the Franklin Library Edition of his book Five Plays. This volume includes the classics ''No Exit,'' ''The Flies,'' ''Dirty Hands,'' ''The Respectful Prostitute'' and ''The Condemned of Altona.'' This leather-bound limited edition published in 1979 has been hand-signed on a bound-in page by author Jean-Paul Sartre. Fine condition. Authenticity guaranteed for life by Collector's Shangri-La.
