Today marks the birthday of musician John Lennon (1940-1980), member of the Beatles, the most commercially successful and revered band in the history of popular music. Our Collector's Treasure of the Day is
this limited edition display containing strands of hair from each member of the Beatles - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison (1943-2001), and Ringo Starr. The hair was originally sold at Sotheby's on June 9, 1982, and was obtained by Datebook writer Marilyn Doerflier. The hair is presented under a 5 x 3 Plexiglas holder with a built-in certificate of authenticity, and a color image of the band on the reverse. In fine condition.
