Limited to 50 attendees, the event will be held in Los Angeles on Saturday November 17, 2013. The literary classic has been banned by the courts in the USA on the grounds that it is “depraved, immoral, psychotic, vulgar, and anti-Christian.” Labeled by some as "obscene", it has also been banned from many literature classes and libraries. This extraordinary leather-bound volume was produced in a limited edition of just 850 copies, is personally signed by the late author, and features special 3-color stamping, a fabric-covered slipcase, full-color illustrations, and a hand-numbered publisher's certificate of authenticity. The Rock Bottom Remainders were a rock and roll band consisting of popular authors whose concerts raised millions of dollars for charity and took its self-mocking name from the publishing term "remaindered book," a work of which the unsold remainder of the publisher's stock of copies is sold at a reduced price. This limited edition lithograph was created to mark the band's 20th anniversary and final concerts. The caricature of the band was created in 2003 by Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist David Horsey, who also signed the print. The image is approximately 11 x 17 inches and printed on archival stock.
