Our Collector's Treasure of the Day is this artist proof from The Martian Chronicles signed by both legendary sci-fi author Ray Bradbury (1920-2012) and surrealist painter Robert Watson (1923-2004). Watson created the stunning cover art for the second 1953 edition of Bradbury's famous tome. Poster is headed ''Ray Bradbury / The Martian Chronicles'' and portrays a solitary human being, surrounded by decaying structural columns. Signed ''Ray Bradbury'' in pencil to center and ''R. Watson'' in pencil to right side. Numbered in an edition of 200. 22 x 30 inches and in Excellent condition. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.

Today marks the birthday of Ray Bradbury (1920 - 2012), the American fantasy, science fiction, horror and mystery writer best known for his classics The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, I Sing the Body Electric!, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and Fahrenheit 451. Our Collector's Treasure of the Day is the original cover art by Ian Miller to the 1979 illustrated edition of The Martian Chronicles published by Bantam books. This illustration was also published as the second chapter illustration, entitled "February 1999: YLLA". Pen on board. 6.25 x 3.5 inches. Signed lower right.
