Happy 87th birthday today to actor James Best, known for his role as bumbling Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane in the CBS television series The Dukes of Hazzard (1979-1985). Farewell to fantasy, horror, and sci-fi author Richard Matheson (1926-2013) who passed away this week at the age of 87. He is perhaps best known as the author of What Dreams May Come, Steel, I Am Legend, several episodes of the The Twilight Zone, and The Shrinking Man (filmed as The Incredible Shrinking Man). He was a true legend and will be missed.
