Happy birthday to cartoonist Peter Bagge, best known for the 1990s comic book series Hate, which followed the exploits of the slacker ne'er-do-well Buddy Bradley (and managed to show probably the truest representation of Seattle during the "grunge" boom and bust). But the Buddy Bradley saga is only a small part of Bagge's oeuvre, which saw its first glory days in R. Crumb's Weirdo Magazine (which he edited for several issues) and continues to expand to this day as he appears in Reason and MAD Magazine. This fine art giclée print entitled Collector's Shangri-La is printed with archival inks on museum-quality fine art paper. Select from 8.5 x 11 inches or 13 x 19 inches. Mint condition.

The ink and blue pencil on bristol art has an image area of approximately 11 x 16.5 inches, and is in Excellent condition. Signed and dated 2012 in graphite in the lower right corner. Our Collector's Treasure of the Day is this artist proof from The Martian Chronicles signed by both legendary sci-fi author Ray Bradbury (1920-2012) and surrealist painter Robert Watson (1923-2004). Watson created the stunning cover art for the second 1953 edition of Bradbury's famous tome. Poster is headed ''Ray Bradbury / The Martian Chronicles'' and portrays a solitary human being, surrounded by decaying structural columns. Signed ''Ray Bradbury'' in pencil to center and ''R. Watson'' in pencil to right side. Numbered in an edition of 200. 22 x 30 inches and in Excellent condition. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.

It originally appeared as a three-issue comic book in 2002 as The Stuff of Dreams from Fantagraphics Books. The story features Deitch himself alongside his best-known creation, Waldo the Cat, and Alias the Cat. Alias appeared in 1915 in a comic strip and a serial film, as well as in real life as a freedom-fighting superhero, and then mysteriously disappears! 8.5 x 11 inches and Fine condition. Comics Legend Ernie Chan Dies at 71

Ernesto "Ernie" Chan was an American comic book artist known for work published by DC and Marvel Comics, including many issues of Conan the Barbarian and Detective Comics.  Sometimes credited as Ernie Chua, Chan was born July 27, 1940 in the Philippines. He died Wednesday May 16th after a yearlong battle with cancer.
