The classic 1980s
T&C Surf Designs T-shirt graphics were developed by cartoonist Steve Nazar. This vintage original pellon print of the
Da' Boys design is a sample image created on the same automatic silk screen presses used to print the actual shirts. The material is somewhat similar to felt, and is significanlty thicker and stiffer than t-shirt material. They were created to test color and registration before the printing of the actual shirts would begin. They were used for reference for future production runs, salesmen's samples, and archiving of the graphics. VERY FEW of these were created, let alone survived. Most were lost or destroyed.
