Today marks the birthday of author Norman Mailer (1923-2007). Our Collector's Treasure of the Day is a leather-bound hand-signed limited edition copy of his first novel The Naked and the Dead (1948) published by The Franklin Library in 1979. It was based on his experiences in World War II. and was later adapted into a film of the same name in 1958. The Modern Library included The Naked and the Dead on its list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century. Autographed on a bound-in page by author Mailer. Fine condition.
