Happy birthday to Mel Blanc (1908-1989), "the man of 1000 voices" best known as the voice
of Woody Woodpecker, Barney Rubble, and almost every character in the Warner Brothers
cartoon cannon. I was privileged to meet Mr. Blanc several times in the 1980s, and he gave me the above photo on one of these occasions. Our Collector's Treasure of the day is this autographed two page promotional script for his memoir That's Not All Folks! The script features Mel performing the voice of his characters Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Pepe Le Pew, and Tweety in promoting his autobiography.
